Germania Connects Croatia with Switzerland: Inaugural Flight between Zürich and Zadar

Independent airline Germania operated its first flights between Zurich and Zadar on Saturday, 12 May and connected this part of Croatia and Switzerland. Germania`s Airbus A 319 was welcomed with traditional water cannon salute by airport`s fire brigade.

Josip Klišmanić, General Manager of Zadar Airport, expressed his pleasure by established cooperation with Germania:

“We are very proud to announce that Zadar Airport is connected to Zurich and established new cooperation with Germania. It is very important that Zadar has a route to such significant European air traffic hub such as Zurich.” – said Mr. Klišmanić.

“It is our pleasure to be in Zadar today and we are warmly impressed of this impressive and lovely welcome”, said Mr. Jörg Adenmatten Finance Manager of Germania.

“Expanding our network between two cities, with so many nice and excellent places, attractions and cultural diversity, is central to Germania’s strategy. Flights to Croatia will become an important part for Germania and another step to participate at the expansion of this wonderful region. Historically there is a long connection between Croatian and Swiss people. Having a large Croatian diaspora in Switzerland, we are proud to offer a direct connection between Zurich and Zadar.” – said Mr. Pelizzoni.

Germania is connecting Zadar and Zurich three times weekly, on Wednesday and two routes on Saturday.
